A new requirement – the need for new solutions
Most Norwegian limited liability companies have a simple ownership structure — and it rarely changes. Yet many have relied on solutions that are either unnecessarily complex or will no longer be available going forward.
That is why we are now launching AKSJA — a new, simple, and future-proof solution for submitting the Shareholder register statement, developed specifically for standalone limited liability companies without changes in ownership.
AKSJA is an initiative by Equro and a natural addition to our existing services within shareholder administration.
A new requirement – the need for new solutions
For many years, submission of the Shareholder register statement has been handled through a pre-filled solution in Altinn. This solution is now being phased out, and going forward, submissions must be made via a professional business system.
For companies with complex ownership structures, group affiliations, or capital events, this has long been part of everyday operations. But for the majority of Norwegian limited liability companies — which have no changes from year to year — this represents a new requirement.
We believe it is important that all companies, including those with simple circumstances, have access to a good, secure, and correct solution when requirements change.
Over 80% of companies have no changes
Data and experience show that more than 80% of Norwegian limited liability companies have no ownership changes or capital events from one year to the next. For these companies, submitting the Shareholder Register Return is in practice a confirmation of existing information.
Nevertheless, the market has largely consisted of solutions developed for more complex needs.
With AKSJA, we wanted to do something about this.
What is AKSJA?
AKSJA is a digital basic service for submitting the Shareholder register statement, developed for:
standalone limited liability companies
companies without ownership changes
companies without capital events
companies that are not part of a group
companies without ties to the financial sector
For these companies, AKSJA is free to use.
The solution is built to be simple, intuitive, and efficient — without unnecessary features or costs. The user logs in, confirms the information, and submits the Shareholder Register Return in just a few minutes.
A supplement to Equro’s established services
Equro will of course continue and further develop its comprehensive and specialized services within shareholder registers, ownership structures, and capital events. For companies with more complex needs, these remain the right choice.
AKSJA is not intended to replace these solutions, but to complement them.
When a company has needs beyond what AKSJA is designed for, the user will be guided onward to Equro for more advanced assistance. In this way, we ensure that each company receives a solution that actually fits its situation.
A natural step for Equro
The launch of AKSJA is a natural part of Equro’s service offering.
With extensive experience in shareholder administration, we have seen both the complexity of advanced ownership structures — and the simplicity of the vast majority of limited liability companies. As regulations now change and the requirement for a professional business system comes into effect, we believe it is right to contribute a solution also for the simpler cases.
Our goal is that:
all companies are able to submit the Shareholder Register Return correctly
the transition to a business system is as simple as possible
cost and complexity are proportionate to actual needs
Ready for the future
While some solutions may still be used during a transition period, AKSJA is developed to function both now and in the years to come. By adopting AKSJA today, companies are already aligned with future requirements for submitting the "AR-oppgaven".
A solution for most — with professional assurance at the core
AKSJA is built for the many.
Equro is there for the few — and the complex.
Together, this provides a complete offering for Norwegian limited liability companies, regardless of size and ownership structure.
